Athenry uses the system configuration files that you supply, to build a custom installable tarball, or chroot.
Athenry is a tool being developed that uses the system configuration files that you supply; to build a custom, installable tarball, or chroot. Athenry allows you to use the package manager of your choice, and currently supports building Gentoo stage 2, 3, and custom tarballs. Although currently Gentoo specific, we hope to be distro agnostic in the near future. Athenry also has an IRB like shell that allows you to execute individual commands that work directly with the current chroot. This is extremely useful in that the Athenry shell allows you to fix any issues that may come up during the course of making a tarball, instead of starting from scratch. There is a lot more possible using Athenry. Please have a look around the rest of the site for additional information, or better yet, download and install Athenry now!
